National Night Out October 2nd!
Celebrate the 10th Annual National Night out this Tuesday, October 2nd!
What is National Night Out?
National Night Out is an annual campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. It enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. This Tuesday (10-2-18), residents are invited to turn on their porch lights, gather with their neighbors and commit to helping law enforcement reduce crime in our communities.
White Rock Lake will celebrate with block parties, festivals and cookouts. Safety demonstrations and seminars from emergency personnel will also be featured in many neighborhoods.
What are its goals?
The purpose of National Night Out is to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.
